Weld Technician

Job Introduction
The weld tech provides support to production employees by assisting with the operations of robotic weld production equipment.
Major Responsibilities
Safety First - Obey the plant's safety rules and procedures by wearing PPE at all times and immediately addressing all safety concerns. Promotes an environment where zero injuries is the expected standard.
Assist the supervisor in day to day weld production related tasks.
Train new employees on respective equipment.
Troubleshoot robots and equipment as required.
Required to do machine set ups to comply with quality control standards.
Inspect/Accept parts per work instruction / process book / procedures.
Ensure that all employees are performing in a safe manner and are observing plant safety rules and regulations at all times. Aware of Safety, Health and Environmental policies.
Knows and understands Victor Mfg. Quality policy.
Maintains clean working environment.
Perform preventive maintenance on machines as required.
Operate machines on an "as needed" basis.
Knowledgeable of machine operator responsibilities.
Recommend proposals for improving products, processes, systems, productivity, and working environment.
Perform other duties as required.

Knowledge and Education
High school diploma or GED
Knowledge of Victor\'s weld operations department
Work Experience
A minimum of one year of related experience.
Skills and Competencies
Basic SPC
Basic quality inspection methods.
Good communication skills.
Work Environment
Normal factory environment.
Additional Information
This position is for 2nd shift, 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
