Tutor, Advanced Manufacturing and Mechanical Technology, PT

The Part Time Tutor is responsible for one-on-one and small group instruction with students. S/He will help maintain student records.
1. Qualifications:
A. Educational Background: Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred. Subjects: Physics, Algebra, Pre-Calculus and Numerical Calculus. Software: Excel and LabVIEW.
B. Experience: Experience in the tutoring of writing at a high school or college level.
2. Essential Functions:
A. Provide direct instructional assistance to students individually and/or in small groups.
B. Help with the organization and presentation of seminars and workshops that will assist students with academic writing concerns.
C. Attend staff meetings.
D. Maintain online tutor presence.
E. Maintain and record student and usage records as needed; compile data on semester basis.
F. Report to the Coordinator of the Science & Technology Department at the Victor Campus Center
G. Performs other duties as assigned.
3. Rate of Pay:
$14.00/hour with Bachelor's Degree, $17.00/hour with Master's Degree

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
