Engineering Technician

WHO WE ARE: We are a systems integration manufacturer whose products primarily include transportable small-aperture satellite terminals and systems, including antennas & positioners, RF equipment, satellite modems, terminal control electronics and software and associated ancillary equipment. These terminals are used predominantly in challenging environments where high reliability is imperative and simplicity of use is extremely important.
POSITION SUMMARY: As a member of the Product Line Engineering team, the Engineering Technician is responsible for providing administrative and hands-on support to the engineering teams that perform work in testing and prototyping of ground based custom satellite communications terminal systems.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: Other duties may be assigned.
Support the build and test and prototype construction of transportable, mobile, and man pack based satellite communications systems
Support electrical, hardware, and software engineering in building and testing prototype components
Support testing for MIL-STD 810G and ARSTRAT certification requirements for transportable, mobile, and man pack communication systems
Perform system and software regression testing on transportable, mobile, and man pack based satellite communications systems.
Will be required to interpret mechanical drawings, fabricated components; create and interpret block diagrams and electrical schematics.
Use of electrical test equipment such as digital volt meters and spectrum analyzers
Contribute as a member of an engineering team and execute team direction
Provide input to engineering design team for design concepts and design improvements
Travel to support GCS equipment demonstrations
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Associates' degree in electrical engineering technology required, Bachelors' degree preferred; Direct military product experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience working in electro-mechanical product engineering or manufacturing environment
Individual must have 5 years of experienced in the electrical, hardware, and software testing.
Ability to obtain security clearance is required.
COMPETENCIES
Ability to interpret mechanical drawings and fabricate components
Ability to interpret and create system level block diagrams
Ability to interpret and create electrical schematics
Ability to proficiently use electrical test equipment
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:
Satcom system experience is preferred
Experience working in a prototype environment
Active Secret level DoD Security Clearance

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
