Job Description
Utilize lean manufacturing techniques to manage direct and coordinate all activities related to a production shift, to maximize productivity and minimize cost while maintaining quality.
Ensure quality product is being produced at the standard rate while minimizing scrap and down time.
Provide positive reinforcement, constructive criticism and disciplinary actions as appropriate.
Identify and resolve issues involving production, processes, employees etc
Ensure all production data is gathered and reported correctly on a daily basis.
3 - 5 years supervision of hourly employees in production manufacturing environment
3-7 years of experience in manufacturing environment, experience with plastics and or automotive manufacturing, preferred
Ability to work 2nd shift, and overtime/weekends as needed
Must have manufacturing experience with increasing amounts of responsibility/supervision
Experience and understanding of plastics and or/other polymers strongly preferred
Additional experience within a lean manufacturing, six-sigma, TPM, TQM, ISO, process improvements or continuous improvement projects
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree is strongly preferred. Ideally in Operations Management, Business, Engineering, etc
3-7 years of experience in manufacturing environment required
Experience with plastics and/or automotive Tier 1 or Tier 2 supplier experience preferred
3-5 years of management experience in a fast paced manufacturing setting Required
Must have experience implementing lean manufacturing, six-sigma, TPM, TQM, process improvements or continuous improvement projects
Must recognize the importance of maintaining a safe working environment and able to enforce rules and regulations regarding all safety aspects
Must have solid understanding ability to work in an ISO regulated environment, and ability to maintain workmanship standards
Ideal manufacturing experience would be in any of the following manufacturing industries: assembly, automotive, food,
electronics
, job shop, etc.
strong leadership, organizational, time management, troubleshooting, problem solving and follow through skills
assertiveness to propose quality, safety and efficiency improvements
proficiency with Word, Excel, and Time & Attendance system
highly attentive to details
flexible, approachable, effective and diplomatic communication rapport
